SHARIFF AGUAK, Maguindanao: A crime gang leader and 15 others were arrested, five of his followers were killed and nine were wounded by military troops in a clash in Lambayong, Sultan Kudarat province, according to a high military official.
Col. Joel Mamon, officer in charge, 601st Infantry Brigade, on Friday said troops of the Joint Task Force (JTF) Central, through the 40th Infantry Battalion, launched an operation targeting the leader, Tugali Guiamal Galmak, aka Commander Tugali, in Purok Galmak, Barangay Baumol, Lambayong, Sultan Kudarat on Thursday.
