The PBA’s fourth season in 1978 was filled with major breakthrough. It was the year the Crispa empire, built in the play-for-pay’s initial three seasons, finally went crumbling into the ground.

Re-Christened the 400s midway through the season, the Redmanizers, not only went crownless but were hopelessly outclassed in their only trip to the finals.
