Maria Ressa, chief executive officer of Rappler, was found guilty of cyber libel on Monday by Manila Regional Trial Court Judge Rainelda Estacio-Montesa.
The case stemmed from a complaint filed by businessman Wilfredo Keng over an article that appeared in May 2012 that claimed he had ties with then chief justice Renato Corona.
