IT is attainable for the Philippines to boost trenewable energy’s (RE) share in the energy mix to 35 percent by 2030, with solar energy as the main driver, a company executive said on Monday.

“This is my more hopeful and optimistic view of renewables. I really believe and we, as the company, support the Philippines’ goal of going back to the 35 percent share of renewables,” said AC Energy Inc. President and Chief Executive Officer Eric Francia during a webinar on “Accelerating the Philippines’ Renewable Energy Transition: Emerging Policy Developments and Lessons Learned from Vietnam.”
