THE Bureau of Customs (BoC) has declared war on unscrupulous and “fly-by-night” importers and brokers who use their accreditation for technical smuggling and other irregularities.
Customs Commissioner Rey Leonardo Guerrero said Thursday he had ordered the bureau’s Enforcement Security Service (ESS), Customs Intelligence Investigation Service (CIIS) and Account Management Office (AMO) to jointly conduct a nationwide inspection, verification and investigation of registered brokers, importers and warehouses.
