Hospitals and health care facilities in Cebu have entered the “warning zone” as the province grapples with the increasing cases of coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19), according to the Department of Health (DoH).

Health Undersecretary and spokesman Maria Rosario Vergeire said as of June 21, while only 13 percent of the 19,718 beds for temporary treatment and monitoring were occupied, most of their hospital beds have reached more than 50-percent occupancy.
