NEW YORK: Tobacco harm reduction (THR) advocates warned that consumers stand to suffer from prohibitive policies imposed by authorities against smoke-free nicotine products such as electronic cigarettes, heat-not-burn (HnB) tobacco products and snus.

Clarisse Virgino, a representative to the Coalition of Asia Pacific Tobacco Harm Reduction Advocates (Caphra), made the statement during the online version of the Global Forum on Nicotine (GFN) on June 11 and 12 2020.
