IF you are thoroughly baffled by news of the growing Wirecard scandal, you are not alone. Mounting evidence of large-scale fraud in one of Germany’s key financial businesses is confusing authorities in at least three different countries, to say nothing of the head-scratching it is causing business reporters and their audience around the world.
Although little is known about the facts of the scandal or how they fit together, it is, unfortunately, becoming increasingly apparent that the Philippines is right in the middle of it.
