Courier firm faces probe for mishandling parcels

PRESIDENT Rodrigo Duterte on Tuesday ordered an investigation into courier company J&T Express following complaints from consumers and a viral video showing the alleged irregular cargo handling.

In his public address aired over state-run PTV-4 late Tuesday night, Duterte sad he wanted the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) of the Philippine National Police (PNP), as well as the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI), to look into the complaints against the company, whose employees were caught on video carelessly throwing pieces of parcel into a truck while loading cargo.
