FINANCING for the government’s coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) pandemic response has hit $7.76 billion as of July 1, according to the Department of Finance (DoF).

In a statement on its website on Thursday, the Finance department highlighted it had raised $7.63 billion in budgetary support financing from the Asian Development Bank (ADB), the World Bank (WB), the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB), Finance Development Program (AFD), Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA, and US dollar-denominated global bonds, “of which $5.11 has been disbursed to the government.”
