Farmers’ groups and other allied stakeholders again slammed the Department of Agriculture for bidding out another batch of urea fertilizer supply contracts worth over P1.3 billion, saying these were again overpriced and grossly disadvantageous to the government.

In a statement on Friday, Rosendo So, chairman of the Samahang Industriya ng Agrikultura, accused the DA for using the same “modus” when it bidded out the first four supply contracts in May.
