China sees better ties with Saudi

BEIJING: China stands ready to promote the comprehensive strategic partnership with Saudi Arabia, Chinese State Councilor and Foreign Minister Wang Yi said Saturday in a phone conversation with Saudi Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud.

Noting that this year marks the 30th anniversary of the establishment of China-Saudi Arabia diplomatic ties, Wang said bilateral relations had made huge progress, especially with the establishment of the two countries’ comprehensive strategic partnership and the foundation of the China-Saudi Arabia High-level Joint Committee, and the cooperation between the two countries in various areas has entered the fast lane.
