ZAMBOANGA CITY: The Sangguniang Panlungsod, presided over by Vice Mayor Rommel Agan, recently approved an ordinance to establish six new public high schools in strategic communities starting school year 2020-202 to “bring free secondary education to poor students residing in local far-flung villages which each boasts only of six-graded elementary levels.”
The ordinance, sponsored by Councilor Rogelio Valesco Jr., identified the barangays where the new high schools would each be created as Patalon, Dulian, Canelar, Malagutay, Upper Pasonanca, Lamisahan Latap and Limpapa.
