THE Bureau of Customs (BoC) authorities have foiled an attempt to sneak into the country some P32.7 million worth of smuggled cigarettes right at the door steps of the Manila International Container Port (MICP), one the bureau's premier ports.

Assistant Commissioner and concurrent spokesman Philip Vincent Maronilla disclosed on Thursday that the shipment was on its way out of the Customs zone when they were intercepted at the Import Exit Gate (IEG) of the MICP.
