This OUTSIDER had been receiving lately messages and calls from not a few readers asking why our series on the past years of the PBA, especially that on the fabled Crispa-Toyota rivalry, had been abruptly discontinued.

Why, they asked, did I not elaborate on a single paragraph contained in my last article published in this section that the 1983 PBA season was the last year Toyota had played its final games. Some said they were “nabitin” (left hanging in the air).
