As micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) take on the uncertainties of the “new normal” brought by the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) pandemic, there’s no better time than now to get much-needed guidance and support from government agencies like the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI). You may have heard about the DTI’s Negosyo Centers, but may haven’t had much time to learn about the services they offer to MSMEs.

The establishment of Negosyo Centers is one of the fruits of Republic Act (RA) 10644, or the “Go Negosyo Act,” which was signed in 2014. This law aims to “foster national development, promote inclusive growth and reduce poverty by encouraging the establishment of micro, small and medium enterprises.” For six years now, these centers have stayed true to its goal of being a vehicle that would enable the Philippines become a more entrepreneurial nation.
