ONE can feel the pain of another who tacitly admits his failure or at least realizes how far he still is from where he wishes to be.

Saying “we are at the breaking point,” I think António Guterres, the United Nations secretary-general, tacitly admitted the failure of the world body he represented when he “made a sweeping call the other day to end the global inequalities that sparked this year’s massive anti-racism protests and have been further exposed by the coronavirus pandemic.”
