THE Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF) has temporarily suspended non-essential travel of Filipinos abroad, Malacañang said on Thursday.

Palace spokesman Harry Roque Jr. said the decision to return restrictions on non-essential outbound travel was reached after only one insurance company agreed to adhere to the conditions to cover rebooking, accommodation expenses and hospitalization should a traveler contract coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19).
