There is no doubt that Filipinos love to go to the malls. This is where they shop, eat and even hear mass or attend church service. But due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the government ordered such establishments in March to close in order to stem the spread of the virus under Enhanced Community Quarantine.

Three months later, restrictions have been eased and while malls have already reopened, shopping in the “new normal” can prove quite challenging for consu­mers given the strict implementation of social distancing, mandatory thermal checks, compulsory wearing of facemasks throughout their visit.
