A low pressure area (LPA) was spotted 30 kilometers north of Infanta, Quezon on Wednesday and is expected to bring light to heavy rains with possible flash floods, and landslides in some areas of the Philippines, the state weather bureau said.

Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) weather forecaster Benison Jay Estareja told The Manila Times that as of 8 p.m., the LPA will cross Central Luzon tonight, and is expected to be at the West Philippine Sea on Thursday morning with slight chances of turning into a tropical cyclone.
