MORE than 300 distressed overseas Filipino workers (OFWS) arrived on Wednesday at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) on board a chartered flight from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA).
Labor Secretary Silvestre Bello 3rd said the 354 Filipino migrant workers came from various parts of the oil-rich kingdom and had volunteered to be repatriated because of economic difficulties caused by the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) pandemic, which forced their employers to either close shop or downsize their staff.
