The Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) launched on Wednesday the enhanced New Generation Currency Banknote Series, which it said was now more inclusive, more responsive to the needs of the elderly and the visually impaired, and more secure.

According to BSP Senior Assistant Governor Dahlia Luna, the banknotes released in five denominations — the 1000-, 500-, 200-, 100- and 50-Piso — boast of enhanced design for improved security, easier public recognition, and increased inclusivity in their use.
