WITH limited mass transportation, Angkas, a motorcycle ride-hailing service, partnered with the National Task Force COVID-19 and the Philippine National Police (PNP) to provide free rides to medical frontliners in select hospitals.
Based on the agreement between the JTF Covid Shield and Angkas Group, its 1,000 riders would bring the frontliners assigned at the Philippine General Hospital, San Lazaro Hospital, Ospital ng Sampaloc in Manila; the East Avenue Medical Center in Quezon City; and the Tala Hospital in Caloocan City.
