DAVAO CITY: The Mindanao Development Authority (MinDA) is promoting the use of locally made bamboo face shields, saying the public needs further protection from the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) pandemic.

MinDA Chairman Emmanuel Piñol said a group of Cotabato farmers, led by a young agricultural engineer, is now into bamboo face shield-making along with members of the Central Mindanao Green Workers Association.
