Local shares inched closer to the 6,000 level on Thursday, partly on news of a coronavirus disease 2019 vaccine, cheering investors.
The bellwether Philippine Stock Exchange Index (PSEi) rose by 0.69 percent or 41.06 points to close at its intraday high of 5,995 while the broader All Shares climbed by 0.42 percent or 14.69 points to end at 3,551.98.
