THE Union of Local Authorities of the Philippines (ULAP) on Friday urged President Rodrigo Duterte to extend the state of calamity in the country for another four to six months to retain its response capability in the middle of the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) pandemic.

According to ULAP National President and Quirino Gov. Dakila Carlo "Dax" Cua, the local government units (LGUs) are appealing to the President to issue a proclamation on the extension.
