Four generations of China Bank memories

CONGRATULATIONS to China Banking Corp. and its depositors, clients, employees, management, directors and shareholders on its centennial on August 16. Even more amazing and unprecedented is the chairman Hans Sy and the board’s grant of 100 shares per year of service to all employees. In Asia where most companies are controlled by one or a handful of shareholder groups, equity is tightly held. This generous and very appropriate grant is an exemplary exception to this. I hope others follow their lead.
