The number of electricity consumer connections in the country reached more than 13.9 million in the first semester of 2020, the National Electrification Administration (NEA) reported on Tuesday.

Data from the NEA’s Information Technology and Communication Services Department showed electric cooperatives (ECs) recorded 209,781 additional consumer connections in the period, making up about 46 percent of the 460,000 corporate target for the year.
