Be very careful shopping online, especially at Shopee

WITH the long series of lockdowns, online shopping has become a huge convenience, even a necessity. Be very careful though; online scammers have proliferated. They’re even lurking at legitimate online stores.

I myself got scammed by a jerk pretending to sell TV at the best prices at the Singaporean-owned Shopee, which I had thought was a safe site to shop. When I reached out to them, Shopee refused to take any responsibility. It continues to advertise heavily on Facebook, highlighting these scammers in their ads, claiming these thieves offer their wares at astonishingly low prices.
