THE city government of Taipei, Taiwan honored two Filipina migrant workers for their dedication and hard work despite the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) outbreak.
The Philippine Overseas Labor Office (POLO) in Taiwan on Friday said Evelyn Kaguitla, a factory worker, and Amelia Comilang, a careworker, were cited by Taipei City Mayor Hou You-Yi during the annual recognition ceremony for exemplary workers as part of the Labor Day celebration, which had the theme “Making the Workplace Safer for Laborers.”
