A month after 70 lawmakers voted against ABS-CBN's franchise renewal , the National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) on Thursday issued an order recalling the frequencies that were assigned to the network.

In an eight-page decision signed by NTC Commissioner Gamaliel Cordoba and Deputy Commissioners Edgardo Cabarios and Delilah Deles on Wednesday, the regulator said "the recall of the radio frequencies assigned to Respondent is warranted" since the network is no longer allowed "to install, operate, and maintain radio broadcasting stations in the Philippines".
