IATF allows travel to Western Visayas

The Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF-EID) has allowed locally stranded individuals (LSIs) to return to their provinces in Western Visayas.

The task force lifted its order banning travel to Guimaras, Iloilo, Negros Occidental, Antique and Iloilo City.

“The IATF approves the partial lifting of the temporary suspension of inbound travel by returning residents to Region 6 (Western Visayas),” it said in a resolution.

The IATF-EID earlier suspended travel of LSIs to provinces in Western Visayas upon the request of local government units because of the spike in coronavirus disease cases in the region.
