The Procurement Service of the Department of Budget and Management (PS-DBM) debunked Sen. Ana Theresia “Risa” Hontiveros’ claim that the government lost P1 billion because of overpriced personal protective equipment (PPE).
PS-DBM said contrary to Hontiveros’ statement, the government generated P800 million in savings by dealing directly with manufacturers and accredited distributors of PPE sets.
