THE European Parliament has called on the Philippine government to implement all the recommendations in a report by the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights.
In a joint motion for a resolution on the situation in the Philippines, passed on September 16, the European Parliament expressed its “deepest concern at the rapidly deteriorating human rights situation in the Philippines; acknowledges the publication of the report by the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights of June 2020, and calls on the Government of the Philippines to adopt and implement all the recommendations listed therein.”
