THE insurance industry posted a double-digit increase in its premium income in the first quarter of the year, the Insurance Commission (IC) reported on Wednesday.
In a statement, Insurance Commissioner Dennis Funa said the industry’s total premium profit reached P78.15 billion in the first three months, a 10.52-percent jump from P70.71 billion in the same period last year.
