A low pressure area (LPA) was spotted in the area of Aurora on Thursday and may develop into a tropical depression in the next few days, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said.

Pagasa said that the LPA was 440 kilometers east-northeast of Casiguran.
