From Mamba mentality in a Game 3 win, the Los Angeles Lakers came crashing back to Earth against the never-say-die Denver Nuggets in Game 4 Wednesday. It’s human nature to take your foot off the pedal, but doing so against the comeback Nuggets is a recipe for disaster.

The Lakers did make a game of it by rallying from 20 points down to make things interesting in the fourth quarter. But LeBron James, Anthony Davis, and the rest of the Lake Show were just too tired in the end to complete the comeback. Jeremi Grant starred all game long for Denver, finishing with a playoff-high 25 points, while Jamal Murray made his usual clutch shots in the final 2 minutes of the game.
