Pope appoints new Papal Nuncio

The Philippines will have a new Papal Nuncio — Archbishop Charles John Brown.

CBCP News reported that Pope Francis chose Brown to be his next ambassador to the Philippines.

Brown, 60, succeeds Archbishop Gabriele Caccia, who is now the Vatican’s Permanent Observer to the United Nations in New York.

The Philippines has been without a nuncio since Archbishop Caccia ended his tour of duty in December 2019.
