A FORMER National Task Force (NTF) adviser on Sunday called for the extension of the general community quarantine (GCQ) in the National Capital Region (NCR or Metro Manila) until the end of October to stem the spread of coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19).
Dr. Tony Leachon said transitioning to a modified GCQ (MGCQ) could “cause a surge [of cases] that will last until Christmas season.”
