THE World Bank has granted a $600-million loan to the Philippines to mitigate the impact of the coronavirus pandemic on poor families.

The Washington-based multilateral lender said in a statement on Wednesday the money will support the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) to implement the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) and pursue Fast, Innovative, and Responsive Service Transformation (FIRST) for beneficiaries.
