THE government posted a new, all-time high outstanding debt at end-August as it accelerated domestic and external borrowings, according to the Bureau of the Treasury (BTr).
Data from the Treasury bureau showed on Wednesday that actual state obligations of P9.61 trillion in the first eight months of 2020 were a 4.92-percent or P450.88-billion expansion from P9.16 trillion at end-July.
