Student thriller film tackles mental health

A short thriller film, named after a Filipino childhood street game akin to hide-and-seek, raises awareness on the importance of mental health and utilizes its mechanics to depict the tragic lives of those who would rather lose their sense and grasp of reality to cope with their inner struggles.

Titled “Bangsak,” it is a combination of the word bang as in the sound of a gun and sak as in saksak or to stab with a knife, and sheds light on the prevalent and pressing issues on mental health.
