NFA: Claims of not buying 'palay' untrue

STATE-RUN National Food Authority (NFA) on Thursday denied allegations the agency was not buying palay (unmilled rice) from local farmers in some areas in the country.

“Kami po ay handang bumili ng inyong palay… Hindi po totoo yung mga kwento kwento at alegasyon na ang National Food Authority ay hindi po bumibili. Kahit saang lugar, bumibili po kami dyan (We are ready to buy your palay. The stories and allegations that the NFA is not buying palay are not true. Wherever, we are buying palay),” NFA Administrator Judy Dansal said in a virtual press conference.
