The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) has announced that more than a dozen businesses in areas under general community quarantine (GCQ) would be allowed to operate at full capacity today, which is expected to hasten the country’s economic recovery from the coronavirus pandemic.

In a memorandum circular signed and released on Friday, Trade Secretary Ramon Lopez identified the these businesses as those into domestic mining and quarrying; other financial services; legal and accounting; management consultancy activities; architecture and engineering activities; technical testing and analysis; scientific and research development; advertising and market research; computer programming, information service activities and other related activities; publishing and printing services; film, music and television production; recruitment and placement agencies for overseas employment; other services, such as photography services; fashion, industrial, graphic and interior design; and wholesale, retail trade and repair of motor vehicles, motorcycles and bicycles, including their parts and components.
