The stock market extended its surge for a third straight day to close the week just below the 6,000 level as investors searched for bargains.
The benchmark Philippine Stock Exchange index (PSEi) rose by 0.92 percent or 54.53 points to finish at its intraday high of 5,999.40 while the wider All Shares inched up by 0.67 percent or 23.99 points to end at 3,586.27 on Friday.
