There was a low-key pivotal trade near the deadline in February this year. The Memphis Grizzlies ac-quired Justise Winslow from the Miami Heat. Winslow was a top-10 pick, part of the Duke Blue Devils championship squad in 2015 and was highly coveted by the Boston Celtics in the 2015 Draft, and they offered six draft picks including four-first rounders to the Charlotte Hornets to move up to 9th pick.

The Hornets refused this package because they had their eye on Frank “The Tank” Kaminsky. (Sorry MJ, excellence on the court doesn’t always translate to the front office), so the Miami Heat, ending up in the lottery after LeBron James returned to Cleveland, promptly took Winslow.
