FOR the first time, Manila was cited for Good Financial Housekeeping by the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG), the city government said on Tuesday.

Mayor Francisco “Isko Moreno” Domagoso said that this recognition — conferred in the city for the first time in 10 years since the DILG began assessing the financial housekeeping efforts of local governments — is proof that his administration was “financially transparent” and able to “spend its funds wisely from the previous year.”
