AS a second wave of coronavirus cases threaten countries in the northern hemisphere, experts keeping track of pandemic were alarmed that North Korea was complicating the global efforts against the present health crisis by its lack of transparency.

On October 10, North Korean leader Kim Jong-un said in a public address that there were no Covid-19 cases in his country, a claim doubted by many.
