Local shares broke into the 6,300 territory on Thursday on hopes of a continued recovery from the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) pandemic amid a slowdown in new infections.
The bellwether Philippine Stock Exchange index (PSEi) gained 1.05 percent or 66.04 points to close at its intraday high of 6,344.63 while the broader All Shares rose by 0.74 percent or 27.9 points to finish at 3,788.75.
