I am 21 years old and working in a private bank here in Tacloban City. I learned that I am pregnant. Since my boyfriend and I have no plans of getting married yet and this is my first pregnancy, we do not have much knowledge on maternity leave. My mother used to work in a private company, and she told me that the period for a maternity leave was 60 to 78 days during her time. Is it still the same these days? Will I be able to avail of such benefit considering that my boyfriend and I are not married though we are already living together?
